While I have a solid track record in what some would call ‘traditional PR’, my philosophy around marketing communications today is progressive and up-to-date, borne from years of being in the ‘digital trenches’, both personally and on behalf of my clients.
Communicating in today’s hyper-connected world is complex and ever-changing. That’s where I come in. I join dots, challenge existing thinking, and work with clients to help them become the very best communicators they can be so they can reap the rewards accordingly.
1. Strategy + mentoring for progressive businesses
I work with progressive growth-oriented businesses that need help with communications strategy around owned, earned and social media, with particular emphasis on content development and creation.
As a rule, they are:
- credible businesses employing 20-100 team members
- run by enlightened founders/leaders who are very hands-on
- service-based enterprises, with serious in-house expertise
- sometimes they’re start-ups or small businesses with growth aspirations, or purpose-driven nonprofit organisations
Once I develop the strategic plan, I’m often brought in to work on a short-term basis with the in-house team to help deliver on the strategy. This role is one of guidance and mentoring, not execution.
While I can do the strategy as a separate one-off, more and more I’m finding that my follow-up advisory and mentoring service is paying dividends for businesses.
2. Personal brand coaching for entrepreneurs and leaders
I offer one-to-one coaching and mentoring services to individuals wanting to build their professional brand in the marketplace.
My specialty is helping professional experts and aspiring thought leaders make their mark within their particular field of endeavour by building public recognition for their ideas, their expertise and insights.
This in turn leads to a growing sphere of public influence and greater impact in the marketplace.
My role in this instance tends to be one of coaching and guidance, and can be short or longer term in nature, depending on the needs of the client.
Presentations + training
I am seasoned speaker and trainer with over 10 years’ experience delivering keynotes and facilitating workshops throughout Australia and overseas.
Broadly, my topics centre around marketing, leadership communications and personal branding, with emphasis on using social media and content marketing to build greater connection and relevance with clients, customers, employees and partners.
Occasionally I will strategically partner with selected brands to help raise their profile and credibility in the marketplace.
This is a hybrid role: part strategist, advisor, content creator and brand ambassador.
